This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is incorporated by reference into Recovery Warriors’ Terms of Use. The term “Recovery Warriors,” “we”, “us”, or “our” includes Recovery Warriors LLC.  Recovery Warriors is committed to maintaining the privacy, integrity and security of any personal information about our users.  This Policy explains how Recovery Warriors may collect, use, and disclose information we obtain through the “Recovery Warriors Service.”  For the purposes of this Policy the “Recovery Warriors Service” means the website located at www.recoverywarriors.org and any mobile application under Recovery Warriors’ control.  The Recovery Warriors Service provides a mobile platform for individuals to self-monitor and record their eating disorder progress.

What Personal Information We Collect

Personal Information” for the purposes of this policy means information that identifies you, such as your name, address, phone number, fax number or email address.  We do not consider Personal Information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual.

We collect Personal Information when you:

  •   communicate with us through customer support
  •   communicate with us by sending a feature request

Information You Elect to Share With Others

Through the Recovery Warriors Services, you can collect and store Health-Related Information, which you can then share with others if you chose to do so. Many users find this to be an important motivator in achieving their recovery goals. “Health-Related Information” for the purpose of this Policy means individually identifiable health information, including information related to an individual’s physical or mental health.  You should be aware that such information is not encrypted when stored on your mobile device, and can be read by others if you do not take the proper security safeguards.

Data Security

All of your Health-Related Information recorded by the means of the Recovery Warriors Services is stored within your mobile device and is in no way accessible by us.   We exercise no control over how your information is stored, maintained, or displayed by third parties that you have shared your Health-Related Information with.

Your Responsibility for the Security of Health-Related Information

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Health-Related Information derived from your use of Recovery Warriors Services. We have secured you with reasonable technical safeguards such as a security PIN.  We are not responsible for any third-party’s access of your Health Related Information that you entered through the use of the Recovery Warriors Services.

Children

We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personally identifying information, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

International Users

By choosing to use the Recovery Warriors Service or otherwise provide information to us, you agree that any dispute over privacy or the terms contained in this Policy will be governed by the law of the state of Texas and the adjudication of any disputes arising in connection with Recovery Warriors or the Recovery Warriors Service will be in accordance with the Terms of Use.

Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. The date last revised appears at the bottom of the Policy. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
